Please keep your eyes on your children at all times. Please donít let your children out of your sight even for a moment. Why do you need to keep your eyes on your children at all times? There are so many dangers all around us. Better to be safe than have to live with regrets for the rest of your life because you were distracted just for a moment. What are some of the dangers? In the province where I live, Thursday, July 12, 2012 was a tragic day. Two more toddlers drowned in different towns in family pools. This broughtto seven the drowning of children in recent weeks in the province. What happened? The toddlers somehow unnoticed went into the pools and drowned. Then there are children who are molested. Too many parents are too trusting. There seems to be no such place as a safe haven as schools, kindergartens, churches, and sports activity have all proven to be breeding grounds for sexual abuse and molestation. Children have disappeared from shopping centres and playgrounds as parents were momentarily distracted, only to have to carry regrets and guilt for the rest of their lives. Notice some ancient instructions to parents. Deuteronomy 6:7 (KJV) ď And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest
by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.Ē Obviously for parents to do that, they would have to be constantly with their children and be watching them. Please, keep your eyes on your children at all times. Donít let your children out of your sight even for a moment as something tragic can happen in the wink of an eye. You need to keep your eyes on your children at all times. Donít be too trusting! Why be a victim? Why be sorry? What comfort can we give bereaved parents who have unfortunately suffered the tragic loss of a child? What comfort is there for the bereaved? Were you aware that in the Bible there are nine recorded resurrections (dead brought back to life) and five (more than half) were of children? Yes, one day in the New World many children will be brought back to life. Build a strong relationship with God so that you can be there to experience the joy of seeing these children come back from the dead. Do not let anything distract you from building a close, solid relationship with God. You can take comfort in that hope? In the meantime, if you have children, remember how precious and dear they are and keep your eyes constantly on them. They are worth all your attention!
