Why does God allow us to misuse and abuse the freedom that everyone should enjoy? It is because He has the power to undo any harm or injustice that man may inflict on someone else. Really?
God can control all things, including time, space, death and life. He can repair or undo anything that man might mess up. It is much like when we are having a nightmare. As far as our mind is concerned, the nightmare is real. We feel the pain; we react to the fear by sweating and by our increased heart rate.
But what happens when we wakeup and realize that it was a dream? Slowly we feel the relief and relax and a few days later we forget it or even if we remember it, we now know it was a dream and that it can no longer harm us. This present life is like a nightmare but one day, either by survival or by resurrection we will live in a New World and this life will be over and any harm we suffered will be repaired and the harm and
Back in the Garden of Eden, God was teaching man that there is no such thing as absolute freedom. So He told them that they could eat from all the trees except one. Man abused the freedom he had been given and lost so much and it has resulted in much pain and suffering. We could have learned the easy way but now we have to learn the hard way. Still, if we learn, it will pay off handsomely in the future. If we don’t learn then we just don’t want to learn.
There are so many lessons that we can learn from this historical account to our benefit and many that would be to our detriment. What are these lessons that we need to learn when it comes to freedom and rights?
