You may have heard someone say that only the strong survive, but is that really so?
Strong or weak: which will survive? Is it true that only the strong survive? Is it possible that both will and can survive? Is it possible that the weak are just as important as the strong and that they actually need each other? Is it possible that there is no such thing as strong and weak, but it all depends on the situation?
We’ve probably all heard the story of David and Goliath. By appearances Goliath should have won the contest. But it didn’t work outthat way.
If there was a fight between a lion and a sheep, who would win? Who would you bet on? The lion of course! Yet the way things are going which one is going to become extinct first? If you had to protect your house which would you prefer in your yard? But if the grass was growing tall and you had no lawnmower, which would cut your grass?
Like David and Goliath, in the end, it is the strong
The lion thinks he is invincible and he is becoming extinct. The sheep rely on their shepherd for pasturage and protection. Is there a danger that the sheep will become extinct?
A seasoned missionary that went through many dangers once said, ”when I am weak I am strong.”
So what do you think? Should you be weak or should you be strong? Which one will survive? The strong may be too strong for their own good. The weak realize they need to rely not on themselves but on someone else.
Better than weak or strong is being meek, for the meek will inherit the earth and enjoy eternal blessings.
