I’m rich! I’m rich! It’s raining diamonds! On closer look, they are not diamonds, they are snowflakes. As I watch them from my window, they are just as beautiful as diamonds. Under some conditions and circumstances, snowflakes might be even more precious than diamonds. Are diamonds comparable to anything?
What makes diamonds so precious?
Is there anything more valuable than a diamond? Who would not want a diamond ring, broach or earrings? Is there anything more beautiful or desirable?
Two references of diamonds found in the Bible:
Jeremiah 17:1 (NWT) 17 “The sin of Judah is written down with an iron stylus. With adiamond point it is engraved on the tablet of their heart....”
Mankind has at times made their hearts so hard that it needed a writing instrument of a tough diamond to scratch their heart. Let’s soften our hearts and allow God to write his laws in our hearts.
Ezekiel 3: 9 (NWT) “Like a diamond, harder than flint, I have made your forehead. You must not be afraid of them, and you must not be struck with terror at their faces, for they are a rebellious house.”
Jehovah God has made his servants harder than diamonds when it comes to determination and boldness so that they have had the courage to declare his messages
Do you want to become like a beautiful diamond?
Can we become a precious, beautiful diamond in God’s eyes? Yes, by allowing God to shape us so that we reflect his light in this world. Let us allow God to polish us up by removing any impurities (conduct that displeases God) that might be in us.
In a way, we can all become beautiful diamonds. We can shine from every angle by developing diamond-like qualities that make us precious in God’s eyes. We just have to allow God to work on us!
