I Donít Believe In God Because I Canít See Him

We are going to look at the statement, that some don’t believe in God because they can’t see him. In all honesty, is it a fair and an intelligent comment or conclusion that just because we can’t see God then he doesn’t exist?

Would it be fair and reasonable if a person that was born blind would deny the existence of things he can’t see? No, a person who was born blind has other ways to ascertain the existence of things. So it is the same with God!

If we think about it, there are many things that we can’t see but

know they exist. What are some of these things? A few things that we can’t see but know they exist are: air, gravity, radio waves, humidity, ultraviolet rays and bacteria.

Though we can’t see these things, we know they exist, either because we have developed instruments to see them or because we are aware of their existence through some means other than the eyes.

It is a very interesting fact that our existence depends on many things we can’t see.

What would these things be?

Our joy in life depends on many things that we can’t see or touch. We’ll touch on a few examples that even if they dissected us they wouldn’t find them: our mind, our memory, our personality, our conscience and our feelings (love, appreciation, loyalty. They can’t be seen or touched but what would life be without them?

What about thirst or hunger? We can’t see them but we can sure feel them!

So, it would not be a reasonable conclusion that just because we can’t see something than it doesn’t exist or just because we can’t see God, that we automatically deny his existence. God must be “seen” by some other method than the physical eyes.
