Keeping one’s faith alive, healthy and strong in today’s world is not easy.
There are things in this world that can weaken and can even destroy our faith. They are sin within us, evil in the world around us and the devil and his allies. So, we must keep our faith vibrant or we are as good as dead.
A dead faith, like a dead person or a dead automobile, cannot do any work or any good and cannot get us anywhere.
So how do we keep our faith alive, healthy and strong?
There are basically three ways.
Simply ask for faith or moreWhat father would refuse such a sincere request? Certainly not our Heavenly Father. Fuel is needed. faith
What happens to our body if we don’t breathe? What happens to our body if we don’t eat? What happens to an automobile if we don’t give it fuel?
How do we feed our faith?
We feed our faith through daily Bible reading. God’s word is like nourishing food and like fuel. Bible reading has to be done daily to be of any value.
I don’t have time, some might say. Really? God gives us twenty-four hours every day but some say that they don’t have time to read his word. Really?
Maintenance and check-ups are needed.
Where do we go to do that? We can do some ourselves
There we will be given support and encouragement and most of all love.
We must keep our faith working.
We have to continually do good works, good deeds. Faith feeds on good actions and stays fully charged by continuous benevolent actions.
So to keep our faith alive, healthy and strong, we need to feed it daily by reading God’s word and keep it in repair by check-ups at the “house of God.” Maintain it and it will be vibrant. Neglect it and it will decay and crumble.
Let us keep our faith alive, healthy and strong and we will have no regrets!
