In my previous two articles I have tried to explain how generosity is the key to getting all that we want and more, the key to abundance. Why do I say that? And how true is it?
I have personally experienced the trueness of these statements. I have also observed it being true in the lives of many others.
Let’s go over some key points:
God is a giver and abundantly generous. (Stars, grass, water, air, etc.)
Jesus said to be a giver and that there is more happiness in giving. (Luke 6:38; Acts 20:35)
Zig Ziglar, a famous motivational speaker said: “You can haveeverything in life that you want if you just give enough other people what they want.”
Isn’t clear that the key to abundance is giving, generosity? When you sow one seed, you get back a tree. Can it be any clearer than that?
What can you give? What do you have? Whatever you have start giving some of it to those that want it and watch what happens. You may think that you don’t have much to start giving away. Is that really so?
Do you still have a face? Can you make your face
Are you still able to speak? Are you able to say, “Hi, how are you doing?” Then start being friendly to as many people as possible.
Can you find a little time to speak to all your family members each week? If you have elderly parents, can you make a little time on a weekly basis for them? Is somebody you know in a hospital? Can you visit them?
Start with these things and eventually you will find a lot more that you have that you can give. You may not have realized how much you really have that you can give. If you give generously, in time, you will be surprised at how much will come back to you. You will have more than you need, you will never lack a friend, you will never lack anything.
