Can World Peace Be Achieved Without Intervention By God?

Would not world peace be a desirable objective? Would not life be better if there were no more wars, hatred, inequalities or prejudice? Can mankind ever achieve world peace on its own? Or can world peace be achieved only with intervention by God?

What is the world state of affairs today? Or we closer to achieving world peace or is it just as elusive as ever? What would mankind have to do in order for the world to be at peace?

What would it take for the world to achieve world peace?

1) There would have to be a world government that would

be powerful enough that no one or no group could challenge and introduce selfish objectives where world peace would be disrupted. Could man ever put in place such a government?

2) The world government would have to be made up of individuals that would have no self-interest but they would be driven only by the desire to see all mankind happy. These individuals would have to be incorruptible. Do we have such individuals?

3) Once we have such a government then the rest of mankind would have o be educated in the ways of love, justice, cooperation, unselfishness and sharing. Is mankind able to do this?

Examine mankind and we can readily see that we don’t have what it takes to even come close to achieving the noble objective of achieving world peace.
Does God have what it takes to create this kind of government, education and atmosphere? Definitely! Since He created us, He knows our make-up and how to teach and motivate us in the ways of peace.
What is more, this project by God is already well under way. Soon we can expect a major intervention by God to eliminate undesirable

and uncooperative elements. When this is done then God’s government can take control of the world and put into operation a world-wide education system that will ensure world peace will exist and remain.
Notice these ancient prophecies outlining God’s purpose to bring about world peace:

Daniel 2:44. (KJV) 44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

Isaiah 2:1-4. Isaiah 2:3-4 (YLT) 3 And gone have many peoples and said, `Come, and we go up unto the mount of Jehovah, Unto the house of the God of Jacob, And He doth teach us of His ways, And we walk in His paths, For from Zion goeth forth a law, And a word of Jehovah from Jerusalem. 4 And He hath judged between the nations, And hath given a decision to many peoples, And they have beat their swords to ploughshares, And their spears to pruning-hooks, Nation doth not lift up sword unto nation, Nor do they learn any more -- war.

Psalm 72:7 (KJV) 7 In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth.

If God did not intervene, we would eventually have; not world peace but world destruction. Thankfully God has better plans and a happier future for mankind. World peace is certain to come; thanks to God’s intervention.
