Are You Eager And Praying For The End Of The World?

Many fear the end of the world. Some are eager and praying for the end of the world. So, is that a strange question to ask? Why would one be eager and praying for the end of the world?

Is this world that great that we would want to see it continue on its path of rampage and ruination? Do you like the wars, the crime, the killing, the diseases, the corruption, the oppression, the bloodshed, the inequality, the greed, etc? Don’t we desperately need a new world?

What kind of world do we need? We need a new world where there

would be peace, unity, caring, health, love, brotherhood, sharing, equality, etc? Is that really possible? Are we just dreaming?

Mankind just cannot bring that about. In fact we are not even close to achieving any of those desirable conditions. However, with God all is possible and prayer can bring amazing results. (See Mark 10:27; 11:24)

Have you ever been sick? Do you like it? What if you went to a doctor to

seek help and he told you that you had to make some serious changes in your way of life and you would be cured. He also told you that he had a way for you to prevent any future relapse and in fact you could be cured of all ills, forever. Would you continue in your old habits or would you eagerly embrace the new way of living?

That’s the choice we all have to make: continue in our old ways and face destruction or embrace the new ways and live in "the world to come”, the next world, the new world, forever. (See Mark 10:30 KJV).

If the end of this world will be the beginning of a new and better world, then we should not fear the end of the world but be eager and pray for this old world to end as soon as possible.
